Specializing in tasty treats for the more geekily inclined, Geek Sweets is a home-based bakery making specialty cakes, cupcakes, cookies and other yummy baked goods. Everything is made from scratch with the freshest Ottawa ingredients, just like grandma used to make. If grandma made cookies shaped like weighted companion cubes and Battlestar Galacticakes.

From a specialty Simpsons wedding cake to a dozen halloween brain cupcakes, no order is too big or too small for Geek Sweets.

Drop me a line at  jenny@geeksweets.net, or call 613-797-6293 in the Ottawa area and let's talk nerdy.

All dressed up...

And ready to be eaten! I'm about to head out to the sold out Capital Cupcake Camp here in Ottawa with my new business cards, new logo, new blog, new everything and I'm a bag of nerves.

Looking at these cupcakes I'm full of pride. And a little bit of nausea from the nerves. Good thing I taste tested last night.

And now there's you - the one reading this blog with one of those shiny new Geek Sweets business cards or buttons in your hands. Hi you! Hope you liked the cupcake. I know it liked you. Heck, I like you just for eating it.

So here I am, perched on the edge of my doorstep, posting from my iPhone while waiting for a cab. But in my head, I know I'm perched on the edge of something much bigger. I'm just trying not to think about that right now. Too scary/exciting for a Sunday morning.

See you at camp.

The skulls are amazing! How did you make them?! I love them :) Your cupcakes are awesome, you're a very talented lady! x

Hi Kim - thanks for your kind comment. :) The skulls are made of white chocolate in a 2 part chocolate mold, then painted with lustre dust.

Can I ask where you got your skull mould from? :)

October 12, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterKim

I think I got it at Winners, actually. Impulse buy at the cash one year. ;) It's made by Wilton I believe.

Cool thanks! I'm gonna try and hunt one down.... though that may be easier said than done in the uk! I think you should make me some of your prize winning cup cakes and mail them on over! :)
